In this episode, I interview Co-Rectors Rev. Dr. Diane Vie and Rev. Todd Vie of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church. We discuss what it has been like for them to work together as married Episcopal priests, the power of ancient prayers found in the Book of Common Prayer, and shared how mysterious the Christian faith can and must be.
For me, the conversation was very enlightening and gave me an even greater appreciation for liturgy, the Book of Common Prayer, fixed-hour prayer, and the Episcopal Church. And, we end with a beautiful blessing from Diane that has become one of my all-time favorites.
“Life is short and we don't have much time to gladden the hearts of those with whom we travel. So, be quick to love and make haste to be kind. And the blessing of God Almighty, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit be with you and remain with you always. Amen."
For more information on anything we talked about, Rev. Diane and Todd recommend the following resources and websites as a good starting point: The Book of Common Prayer; The Online Book of Common Prayer; Your Faith, Your Life; Bishop Curry’s Way of Love Podcast; St. Paul’s Episcopal Church; the Episcopal Church.
